Discovery is run by a Board of Directors made up of community members, past and present family members, and pediatric therapists. An Executive Director manages the day to day business of the organization. Eighty-five (85%) of Discovery's budget is funded through tuition fees. The remainder of the budget comes from:

Annual special event fundraisers, raffles, and smaller family-based events Community grants and cash donations Community in-kind donations of equipment or services Donations through the designated donor program at United Way Montana Best Beginnings mini grants and Block Grant funds
